How to install your eSIM
Takes about 2 minutes. Best done before you leave home.
1. Check your phone can use eSIM
Dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID line appears, your phone supports eSIM.
Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Phones bought on an overseas carrier contract are often locked and cannot use another provider's eSIM.
2. Install the eSIM
After payment you get a page with a QR code. There are three ways to install:
- iPhone (iOS 17.4+): tap “Install eSIM now” on that page and your phone opens the setup screen.
- Scan the QR: open the page on another device, then scan it from the phone that will use the eSIM at Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.
- Manual: type in the SM-DP+ address and activation code shown on the page.
3. When you arrive
Go to Settings → Cellular, turn on Cellular Data for the new eSIM and enable Data Roaming for it. Your own number stays active — just turn off data for your home SIM so you are not charged roaming.
Important
This eSIM can only be installed once. If you delete it from your phone you cannot reinstall it and it is not refundable. Install it at home while you still have wifi, and only turn it on when you arrive.
